Here's Journal Club 2/19/21! Every week, I hold a JOURNAL CLUB. After filtering through the articles on the web, I present a few that impacted my life this week. Be safe and stay well!

  • With tax time just around the corner, there’s about to be many, many questions in many investors’ minds. In this post, Financial Success MD covers a question that he hopes will help: what’s the difference between a tax deduction and a tax credit?
  • Physician burnout is likely more common now than ever before. In this post from the Physician Philosopher, guest poster Vagabond MD sums up the current state in the medical industry very well, and how financial independence can be a real solution.
  • As the Debt-Free Doctor points out in this post, real estate investing comes with a whole world of new lingo to learn. One of them is “depreciation recapture.” What is that, exactly? Well, without spoiling anything, I’ll just say that it is definitely something you should know about.
  • Money ain’t what it used to be. In fact, according to this post from Physician on Fire, becoming a millionaire isn’t exactly what it used to be, either. At least, not in the way we think. Now, it’s more important in what way you’re a millionaire, and how the money is used. It’s certainly some good food for thought.

That’s it for this week! I hope Journal Club 2/19/21 was helpful to you.

Lastly, here's a little bit of motivation below. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
