Here's Journal Club 11/06/20! Every week, I hold a JOURNAL CLUB. After filtering through the articles on the web, I present a few that impacted my life this week. Be safe and stay well!

  • It goes without saying that thanks to taxes, our take-home pay is often much less than we’d like it to be. But there is another level to that, which could be devaluing your earnings by well over half! In this post, XRAYVSN discusses how to offset this potentially problematic issue.
  • Halloween may be over, but for some, finances can be scary all year long. In this podcast episode, the Physician Philosopher discusses the things that can cause anxiety in our financial lives, and how to resolve these fears.
  • When it comes to real estate investing, many people invest in their local markets. It makes sense, after all; being able to easily access your properties is a big advantage. Some people, however, have expanded their view. In this article, Semi-Retired MD discusses the pros and cons of owning real estate in multiple markets, and why it may or may not work for you.
  • Achieving financial freedom is more than simply accruing streams of income (though that’s certainly part of it). So much of our success has to do with our mindsets. This is an idea perfectly summed up in this recent post from Mad Fientist. Is your mindset fixed, or is it centered on growth? Your answer could make a huge difference.

That’s it for this week! I hope Journal Club 11/06/20 was helpful to you.

Lastly, here's a little bit of motivation below. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
