Here's Journal Club 1/8/21! Every week, I hold a JOURNAL CLUB. After filtering through the articles on the web, I present a few that impacted my life this week. Be safe and stay well!
- At some point in your life, you’ve probably playfully dreamed about what you’d do if you won the lottery. It’s a fun game to play, but as it turns out, it can have real-life applications. In this post, Debt-Free Doctor discusses some ways you could handle a $10 million gift, and along the way, sheds some light on how you can invest your money now.
- f you’ve ever thought about using your self-directed IRA to purchase rental properties, you know that there are a lot of pros and cons. In this article, Semi-Retired MD breaks down 7 of the most common downsides to doing just that–and why it may not be the best idea for everyone.
- Now that we’re a few days into the new year, many of us will be paying extra close attention to some habits we’d like to start or stop. This podcast episode from The Physician Philosopher gives you some great ways to make 2021 a great year.
- Dante’s Divine Comedy: a great work of medieval literature, and, according to XRAYVSN at least, the perfect analogy for financial freedom. This post is just one of his series on “the seven deadly sins” of finance, and it’s well worth a read.
That’s it for this week! I hope Journal Club 1/8/21 was helpful to you.
Lastly, here's a little bit of motivation below. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
