Here's Journal Club 3/12/21! Every week, I hold a JOURNAL CLUB. After filtering through the articles on the web, I present a few that impacted my life this week. Be safe and stay well!

  • For many people, the idea of being “obsessed” with something is usually a negative thing. But according to this article from Retire Before Dad, a healthy obsession with money isn’t necessarily a bad thing. In fact, as he lays it out here, it may be the best thing in helping you reach your goals.
  • When it comes to real estate investing, one thing I’ve always enjoyed is reading other peoples’ stories of success. This article from Semi-Retired MD highlights one such case study. Specifically, it’s the story of a physician and her husband, who grew their real estate portfolio form 0 to 30 in just nine months(!).
  • Whether you’ve been investing in real estate for years or you’re just starting out, there’s a pretty big case to be made for adding multi-family properties to your portfolio. That’s exactly the argument Debt-Free Doctor makes in this article–along with some very convincing reasons to make that investment sooner rather than later.
  • One of the hardest parts about investing is simply getting started. There are so many options out there, so many platforms, and so much to learn. It can all be a little too much at times. This is certainly something the Prudent Plastic Surgeon understands, and in this article, he gives some great ways to overcome the classic issue of “analysis paralysis.”

That’s it for this week! I hope Journal Club 3/19/21 was helpful to you.

Lastly, here's a little bit of motivation below. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
