Here's Journal Club 2/5/21! Every week, I hold a JOURNAL CLUB. After filtering through the articles on the web, I present a few that impacted my life this week. Be safe and stay well!

  • Ongoing learning is important, as I’m sure you know. But sometimes, it’s easy to let our egos get in the way. If you’ve mastered a few skills, it usually seems better to stick with those rather than starting all the way over with something new. But in this post from Crispy Doc, you’ll see that the “novice” mindset is far more valuable.
  • If you’re just getting started with investing with the intention of achieving passive income, then be sure to check out this post from Debt-Free Doctor. It takes an in-depth look at how you can take 50k and invest it strategically over the next ten years–and what you can do with your passive income after that.
  • The concept of “habit tracking” has become increasingly popular over the last few years. Some love it, some hate it, but as a tool for improving your life, I think it’s great. It seems that the author of this post from Get Rich Slowly agrees–though the reasons why you should start tracking your own habits may surprise you.
  • Doctors may make a lot of money by national standards, but many of us still live paycheck to paycheck. Why is that? I believe that it has a lot to do with our mindsets. As I’m sure you know, a high income doesn’t equal wealth. According to this older post from the White Coat Investor, in order to achieve the life you want, you must choose to be rich.

That’s it for this week! I hope Journal Club 2/5/21 was helpful to you.

Lastly, here's a little bit of motivation below. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
