Here's Journal Club 06-10-22! Every week, I hold a JOURNAL CLUB. After filtering through the articles on the web, I present a few that impacted my life this week. Be safe and stay well!

  • Over the years, financial experts have grouped investments into two categories – mainstream and alternative. Stocks, bonds, and mutual funds are examples of mainstream investments, whereas real estate, hard money loans, and venture capital fall under alternative investments. So, which option should you choose? The Millionaire Doc sheds some light on the subject in the article – Investing Close to the Bone.
  • There's plenty of advice available on financial matters out there. However, not all of it is helpful or even applicable to everyone. One such group of people are doctors who are often recommended universal financial do's and don'ts that aren't necessarily suitable for them. To make the generic advice more relatable, the Physician on FIRE offers some guidance in the article – Common Financial Advice that Makes No Sense for Physicians
  • Entrepreneurs are a creative bunch with a keen interest in solving problems and offering high-value services to their customers. If you’re someone with innate entrepreneurial abilities looking to build something rewarding, the author of Look for Zebras has some valuable tips for you to grow and succeed in the article – Things You Don’t Need To Be A Successful Entrepreneur.
  • Most of us are familiar with the term minimalism, but how many of us have given it a try? For those looking to adopt a minimalist lifestyle, the author of Reset Button shares some key points and recommends starting with something simple yet effective in the article –  Make the Leap to Minimalism: Start with the Closet.
That's all for this week! I hope this week's journal club was helpful.
